Yesterday at choir rehearsal a lady asked if I was showing yet, and was kind of giving me a hard time because I'm almost 19 weeks and not showing that much (it looks more like I've just gained some weight). Anyway, she made some comment that she stopped trying after 8 pregnancies. I said, "you've been pregnant 8 times? wow!" to which she responded, "yeah, I have 4". Ok, so obviously 4 of those pregnancies were miscarriages and I'm thinking how is she wanting me to respond? I mean, the subject of miscarriages is a sensitive one, and it made me feel very awkward, especially as a pregnant woman where things are going smoothly with my pregnancy. I just said "oh" and let it drop.
